Store Accessibility
The Big Carrot Community Markets are fully accessible in the main stores and have accessible washrooms. The juice bar at the Danforth Community Market is not fully accessible but it is at street level and our staff are trained to assist you if you need help entering the space.
Staff Accessibility Training
The Big Carrot is committed to the improvement of all aspects of society whenever possible. A community-focused organization, The Big Carrot is committed to serving all people in an inclusive manner, and maintaining a level of excellence while doing so. It is with the same commitment that The Big Carrot shall endeavor to adhere to the spirit of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act and afford equal access for all.
As part of our regular store orientation, our staff are trained in accessibility customer service.
Annually we run a hands-on seminar for our staff in Accessibility Customer Service Training through Accessibility Professionals of Ontario.
If you require assistance, our customer service department and all the staff throughout the store would be happy to help you.
Carrot Common accessibility
The Big Carrot uses Carrot Common room 212 for our free Thursday night Speaker Series. This room is stair access only from the entrance on the Danforth.
